Newcastle United Takeover: 5 realistic transfer targets

As the Newcastle United Takeover moves (hopefully) closer, every half decent player on the planet is being linked to a move to the North East.

Who should Newcastle sign though? These are my five realistic transfer options for the club this summer:

Daniele Rugani

While Newcastle are being linked heavily with Kalidou Koulibaly currently, if he becomes available then numerous teams will be in for him. Rugani is a player who is quick, still quite young, wouldn’t cost half as much and has learned from some of the best defenders in the Italian league. I feel he would make a great partner for skipper Jamaal Lascelles.

Daniele Rugani

Jetro Willems

Not so much a signing but making him permanent. Before getting injured, he looked a very capable defender while is also strong getting forward and supporting. Athletic and with tremendous stamina, would be a great addition at left back having excelled in the leagues he has played so far. So far has shown glimpses in an average team, he would surely be a key asset in a good attacking team.

Davide Calabria

A strong, young right back. Calabria is a strong defender who at 23 has plenty of room for improvement under the right manager and guidance. Would solve a problem position for the toon while he wouldn’t cost a massive amount. Great delivery going forward while never shirking a challenge he could turn into a key player for Newcastle if brought.

Houssem Aouar

Another young player who has been linked with numerous clubs. A gifted technical attacking midfielder. With lots of potential he could come in and link the play up between the midfield and wingers/strikers.

A great ball player between the pace of Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maxim. Hard working as well as talented he would cost a decent amount but the benefits Newcastle would reap would be enormous.

Odsonne Eduouard

A new striker to partner or replace Joelinton is a must. Edouard is strong, pacy and can link up play really well. Most importantly he knows where the goal is. He could come into Newcastle and with the right players and tactics easily get 20 goals a season and be the new number 9 we need. Edouard combines the best of both worlds, being physical and hard to knock off the ball, to being able to be played in behind. He would be a n

These are only five of a number of potential players that could possibly come to Newcastle. Have your say on who you think Newcastle should go for once they are taken over.
